I cannot see how your body does not say no mas with this. Amazing. I would guess there is not much competition as there are probably a very small group of folks who can run 100 straight miles.

A little less than an hour and a half if traffic is good.

I dread having to drive 100 miles.
I did some pretty serious hiking New Years a few years ago in the Smoky Mountains and I probably did 100 miles in 5 days. I can’t imagine, though, running 100 miles straight.

True story, in early 1990 made a run from Augsburg to Stuttgart Germany on Autobahn 8 (I think it was A-8). Had a modified ‘88 mustang LX 5.0 and never went below 110 mph on that road. Made it to the outskirts of Stuttgart in like 50 minutes. After the Autobahn had to get off on a highway so it took me total like an hour 10 minutes to go the whole 100 to 105 miles.
Oh, you mean running? Screw that.

You'd be surprised how many nutjobs do this. A lot of the 100 mile runs "sell out" within days of opening registration. I personally know 6 0r 7 people that do them....one of them posts on Tigerdroppings.
