A crew of them flying West bound through Covington on I-12 this morning doing about 90. Some a-hole in a pickup truck was traveling them with a magnet in his tailgate that stated he was a military escort and he was flashing his headlights and about running people off the road.
I assume they were trying to get to Baton Rouge for the officer's funeral, I just hope they were there for good and not to start shite.
I don't know much about the motorcycle club.

Black motorcycle club. Googling tells me they have a national convention in Tampa, so probably on their way there.

Nah I'm just trying to figure out how someone can claim military escort of a black motorcycle gang

I can't say what you saw was 100% legit, because I didn't see it. But a lot of those baws are current and former military in the Buffalo Soldiers MC.
I mean, that's a reference to the fact that in the 1870s and 1880s, a lot of those troops garrisoning forts out west, literally in "Injun" territory were of African extraction, former slaves and cats that joined up during the late unpleasantness and either stayed in (Army was 3 hots and a cot) or got back in after Reconstruction got ugly down south. Indians nicknamed the colored troops "Buffalo Soldiers."

"Buffalo Soldier, Dreadlock Rasta:
There was a Buffalo Soldier in the heart of America,
Stolen from Africa, brought to America,
Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival.
I mean it, when I analyze the stench -
To me it makes a lot of sense:
How the Dreadlock Rasta was the Buffalo Soldier,
And he was taken from Africa, brought to America,
Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival.
Said he was a Buffalo Soldier, Dreadlock Rasta -
Buffalo Soldier in the heart of America.
If you know your history,
Then you would know where you coming from,
Then you wouldn't have to ask me,
Who the 'eck do I think I am.
I'm just a Buffalo Soldier in the heart of America,
Stolen from Africa, brought to America"
