I've done that little experiment a few times. Look at cities around the south from Austin to Charlotte. Bigger and smaller than BR.

Google Maps says there are two accidents on Lee, one accident on College, and one accident on Perkins at the College/Lee intersection. Holy shite.

agree 90% on this.
cars get frustrated because of the large volume of tractor trailer traffic in this area and pull stunts to weave around it rather than understanding its just the nature of nashville's geographic location.
