I can top all these, was only 3 at the time, so don't remember flight 305 from Portland to Seattle in 1971. Actually set across aisle from him.

My first flight alone as a 17 yr old flying from N.O. to RI had the honor of being worst. They had just served dinner (back in the days when you actually got a hot meal) when a minute later the Flight Attendants came hurrying back down the aisle grabbing everyone's trays while the Captain announced we had to make an emergency landing in Raleigh, NC.
The panicked look on the Flight Attendant's face really left me feeling confident all would be well.
I remember trying to keep my cool and put on a brave face while thinking "WTF...I'm too young to die!"
We came in pretty fast as they must have cleared us with priority to land at the nearest airport. We had to sit on the plane while they repaired whatever was causing the lack of oil pressure. No more meals were given out after we finally took off since they trashed them all. I was a hungry teenager after I finally got my appetite back.

C130 flight from Kandahar to Bagram after midnight. Flight had about 20 Taliban detainees who probably hadn't bathed in a year...the smell was indescribable. Pilot took evasive maneuvers and dropped flares on departure and approach.

That is a CSB. For real.
My dad says we took Pan Am flight 103 from England a Month or so before it was bombed when he was being transfered back to a stateside base. Since I didn't actually get blown up, worst flight was delayed at ATL on the tarmac for 2 hours and then a good hour of screaming baby right behind me on our way to Boston.

I used to have to fly to Middle East on occasion and would carry some Vicks vaporub with me. One dab under each nostril. After a few years I got where I could get business class thrown in the deal. Same stink just less direct contact.

The one I had a panic attack on. Can remember the route. Maybe ATL->MIA

stinky stories remind me of a train ride from Copenhagen to Hamburg, overnight, in one of the little sections where 6 people sit, with a Turk who took your breath away the stink was so bad

Worst would be Honolulu to Sydney on Qantas. We were to land in Sydney and catch a flight up home to Brisbane, however fog had closed Sydney airport,
spent 3.5 hours at brisbane on the tarmac in economy seats with no air flow/food/water/clean toilets. After already spending 10 hours flying. Finally after the 3.5 hours they allowed Brisbane passengers to deplane.

Propeller flight BTR to IAH. Get to Houston and airport's closed due to severe weather with a tornado on the ground a few miles from the airport. So we circle for over an hour in the worst turbulence I've ever encountered. Without the seat belts there would have been injuries.
And the only bathroom was closed. They told us before we boarded. The noisy drunk who downed 3 beers before the turbulence hit became our comic relief. He was in agony by the time we finally got down.
Landing in Minneapolis in a blizzard was not much fun either. After 20 minutes of landing in blinding snow being blown by 40 mph winds we finally got to see the runway about 5 seconds before the wheels touched. Guy next to me during the landing - "last week it wasn't this bad and they sent us to Madison".

2010 Denver to tulsa, HORRIBLE turbulence, we get to tulsa and the weather was just awful and we couldn't go below a certain altitude, so we flew in the air for for a while then we started running out of fuel so we got redirected to OkC and landed there.
Had a terrible one this year Dallas-Houston. Kept dropping altitude unexpectedly and my heart kept dropping. Thought I was going to die

Last flight out of Houston to Jackson MS before Rita hit (MSY still closed after Katrina). We were flying through from Vegas and almost everyone deplaned in Houston. My friend got up and moved to opposite side of airplane in the front and left me in the rear. She reasoned if the plane crashed we would be less likely to both die if we didn't sit together. 6 flight attendants on board were being flown on to Chicago. They looked grim and serious and sat down and buckled up. The plane was shaking from turbulence and kept dropping. I swear it felt like we skidded sideways when we landed. Then we had to drive the forerunner home to BR with serious wind sheers. A friend left Vegas after us and got a tuck in Dallas. She drove home.
