I like how people always say insecurity is the reason open relationships won't work. I'm pretty secure guy and have plenty of game and while nailing the same hole gets old, I don't think I can picture my wife taking it from a different dude, or her watch me rail a different hole. I guess because I can't necessarily disconnect emotions to sex. Especially if that first time wows me... Guess I'm not progressive enough?

If you had lived next to me for the last 5 years, you'd have no idea. Hell, most people think my wife is a goody goody. Seriously. The occasional time when we trust someone enough to let them know, they are stunned that little Ms. Super helper, charity girl who NEVER cusses is a freak.

I do think that if you have even the slightest insecurity, you should AVOID open marriage like the plague. But, that seems sort of self explanatory.
Oh. And, for the record, we are really sort of using the incorrect terminology in here.
VERY few swingers I know are in "open marriages". I can give you guys sort of a glossary if you need on.

Open marriages are actually somewhat rare and I'm not in one.
My wife and I don't fly solo. It's a team sport for us.
You have all types.
Pure Open marriages - Every man/woman for themselves! Rarely done together.
One side open - One of the partners play around open, the other doesn't.(not for me)
Straight Swingers - Team sport, only straight interactions MFF, MMF, MFFFF, MMMF, MFMFMFMFMFMFMF....all good
Swingers into threesomes MFF - self explanatory
Swingers into MMF - Self explantory
Swingers who also do pure open
Swingers where one is also open
I could go on.
Point being, very few people are in straight up "you frick who you're gonna frick Friday and I'll frick who I want to" type marriages.
