About $40 of my own money. I like playing blackjack for the entertainment, but I hate throwing money away
My stepdad put $100 in a slot machine and made me play it until I was winning or it was all gone
I was so disgusted with wasting that money because slot machines are boring as frick

$50.
If you go to a casino to win rather than to have fun, you are doing it wrong.
I don't go to the boats that often, but when I do, I look at the money I am spending as entertainment dollars like going to a movie or something. It's fun but you shouldn't expect to win.

I have lost on sports betting. But typically I am not in the casino during the games. My husband has won more than I have lost thankfully.

Maybe $50. I look at it as entertainment, so if I can go in and play $50 for a while, I figure I get my money's worth
That's the best way to approach it. I've learned to leave the credit cards / ATM cards in the car and just take so much in with me.
My brother used to be a slot supervisor at one of the Stations Casinos. He's told me than more than once that he's paid off folks that hit jackpots and left him a nice tip...only to have them gamble it all back and ask for their tips back.
My worst loss has been between $300 - $350 a night...but I play at low levels. I guess I'll never make "OT baller" status.

I usually limit myself to $500 daily. It can go fast or it can go slow. I've also cashed $5k on a handful of occasions

not me personally, but saw a guy lose over 20k.
Took an account of mine who lived in Shreveport to the Horseshoe. He was a gambling addict and also a millionaire.
Started the night at Binion's steakhouse and probably spent $600-700 between the two of us(everything was comped).
stayed at the Horseshoe till 3am until he blew threw 20k in blackjack. he was drinking whiskey until 3 and he would throw me a $20 chip every so often just to stay and play with him. i would play a hand here and there and i started stashing the chips in my pocket one at a time.
we ended up at Larry Flints until 5am. woke up next morning on the floor in a suite and had $800 in chips in my pocket.
it was the best/longest night i've ever had for work. lol

I lost $600 this week, which was not much fun. Sucked arse. Not the biggest hit that I've taken, but I've built up a bank roll to absorb these hits.
I'm back at the grind next weekend. Time to push.

I'm actually up like 300 bucks all time, but I've been down $5,000 before.

I knew a guy in college that would play roulette at one of the smaller casinos. He knew how each dealer would roll. Dealer 1 would start on one quarter of the when then every 20 minutes she would go to the next one. Dealer 2 stayed on 1 half all the time. Dealer three would stay on one very small section and it would move clockwise every 4 or 5 spins.
I'm someone that's usually skeptical of this kind of stuff be he spent literally 40 hours a week at the casino. He actually lived there because of all the free rooms he got. I watched him in action a few times and I can confirm he wasn't lying. Not saying he didn't have nights where he lost but in the long run he was up to enough to pay 5k per semester for school, had all him rooms and meals comped, and had enough money to do stuff. He didn't get rich but he literally survived because of the casino.

Around $500.
I still haven't topped my first casino experience for amount won. Summer after HS my family took a ten-day Caribbean cruise out of New Orleans. Ship had a good-sized casino on-board, legal gambling age 18, not 21. I won $980 over the course of a week or so, despite only being 17 at the time. I was fooling around one afternoon at video poker, row within vision of a couple of tables. I cash out and head over to an empty blackjack table. Dealer never carded me and no one else did after they noticed me playing.

I agree. Slot machines are boring.

Like $40. I don't have anything against gambling, it's just never been my thing.
