Had a family member up and decide he was going to get married on a Friday afternoon. It was all of a sudden.. They just decided "we are going to get married in 3 weeks" and they invited people through FB and/or text

Then evidently was pissed because about half the people they invited showed up. Next time, don't up and decide that in 3 weeks you are going to get married on Friday at 2PM..

As for as borrow, I can't really think of anything off the wall someone asked to borrow.

But you do. You’re a sad little creature. I always expect you to start calling threads “my precious”.

Yesterday a very good friend of mine decided not to go to the game and told me come get and use his awesome tickets. I was at the tailgate on the Parade Ground and he's on the Northshore. Like "dude come get these fiya tickets man!"

He's the dumbest really smart guy I know.

Are you sure it wasn’t a friend of your co-worker’s family member who heard about someone getting married on a Friday afternoon?

Come to think about it, it was a co-worker's friend's family member.

Old classmate from high schoo(we were friendly but didn’t hang out together) wanted to borrow my .54cal muzzleloader to go hunting Colorado. It had a custom aftermarket barrel, gunsmith did trigger work and I had spent about 100 hours putting hand rubbed linseed oil finish on stock over period of several months.
I told him if he could afford to go to Colorado hunting he could damn well afford to buy his own muzzleloader.
There are a very few guys I might have loaned it to but he wasn’t one of them.He was clumsy oaf who probably would have dropped it or screwed it up some way.

Sister-in-law is constantly trying to use me as a free baby sitter. I believe in keeping the family peace so I’ve agreed a couple times and made up excuses on other occasions, but she just keeps asking. Nearly every other weekend.

And she always gives the same sob story about how hard my brother works and how they really need a break from their (singular) kid but can’t afford those expensive babysitters.

Keep in mind I’m a single 30 year old trying to enjoy the bachelor lifestyle for a few more years. Having my 10 year old nephew is actually cool once in a while, we just play video games and order pizza, but I can’t freaking watch him every damn week. Then she always tries to guilt me later by saying how much he loves hanging out with his Uncle SDTider.

Neighbor knocked on my door one day. Asked me if I'd want to repaint these porch rocking chairs for her daughter.

"Hey.. You want to paint our rocking chairs for my daughter?"

You ever gave them a reason to assume you would enjoy doing that?

Was working in the yard and a teenaged kid I’d never seen before came up and said he’d been released early from school and his parents weren’t home and could he please borrow my ladder so he could reach a second story window.

Uh, no I don’t think so.

Was moving out of an apartment to an air bnb while I waited to close on a condo. They guy I was moving out with asked me if he could rent my tv while I waited to close. Thought that was odd. Just buy a damn tv. They’re not that expensive

My first roommate at LSU asked to borrow my roll on deodorant. This was on the first day of class. We had been there all weekend, and he hadn't showered since he got there. He was one of those undress as he got in the bed, leave his clothes on the floor, and put them back on in the morning, types. That's literally what he'd done that morning. When I got out of the shower I used my deodorant in front of him. He asked to borrow it, and I said "It's roll on." He said he didn't care, so I just said I do, because you aren't clean.

A guy I had become friends with, had his roommate quit school and go home two days after classes started. I moved in with him, two doors down the hall. I found out the other guy's parents worked in Saudi Arabia, and sent he and his TKE buddy to school in Italy. They both picked up the worst European traits, like not bathing.
