I think that an Akita are the baddest dogs on earth.

I had a 120lb longhair Akita that was the best dog I have ever had. Trained him right and had him fixed early on to make him a better pet.

His father was my BIL's dog. Roughly the same size, but not fixed and more attitude.

I would have taken either one and bet the farm against any pitbull I have ever laid eyes on and rested easy knowing it was money in the bank. (Not that I would have ever done that with "Shaq").

Like any dangerous breed it's mostly in how you raise them. However I would say, hands down, that the Akita was the most dog aggressive breed I have ever seen.

My wife's dog is pretty scary. He's a 95 pound bulldog of some sort. It's not his size that is intimidating, it's his athleticism. An 8ft fence doesn't stand a chance, he also has a thing for catching and killing squirrels which is somewhat impressive given his size. He got a hold of two coyotes about a year ago and killed them both, definitely not an animal you want to mess around with.

Wolf hybrid.

Thing was fricking huge and it paced the fence line staring like it couldn't wait to kill you, or whatever.

American Bulldogs are probably the greatest dogs ever created by man.

Perfect blend of strength and athleticism.

VERY intelligent.

Great with small children.

Loyal to the death. Will never leave your side.

And, most importantly, probably one of the healthiest breeds you can find.

And this is coming from a guy who doesn't own one.

I've been around many police dogs (German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois) and they were all intimidating. But the meanest dog I have ever been around was my neighbors Chow. Frick that dog. They had to shot it because it almost killed a boy down the street from us. This was like 20 years ago.

Cane Corso.

"Cane" means "dog" in Italian.

I was walking my Akita in our neighborhood once and someone's little yappy foo foo dog was off the leash. It came up barking and acting like a little badass to my Akita. As soon as the yappy little thing got close my Akita snatched it up in her jaws. It happened so fast I didn't have time to react. All I saw was a fluffy tail and a nose sticking out each side my Akita's mouth. She violently shook it around then tossed it about 8 feet away. Last time that dog came up to my Akita.

I read an article about her once. She has some type of mutation that makes her muscles grow at a crazy rate.

quote:

Wendy, a classic bully whippet, where a natural genetic mutation leaves the animal heavily muscled and has a broad chest.
