re: What's the latest on BR red light camera tickets?

I just received one the other day...I was turning right on Perkins off of College. I did not come to a complete stop and the camera showed that. The reason was because I knew that the next line of oncoming vehicles were the ones turning left from both Acadian and Stanford. I knew that I did not have to worry about anyone coming quickly, straight from Acadian. And I barely ran the damn thing. I stopped and looked. What I did not know at the time was there was some guy on my arse and he just turned with me. I am going to assume he got one, too.

I am paying this one. It sucks, but this stuff can affect your credit score (and I have a relative to prove it -- a close relative who I have asked about this bullshite from day one). We want to buy a new house and I do not want a single drop of bullshite to get on my credit score.

But to the guy who said "You'll get a warrant", no, no, no. This city is broke. Who the hell would EBR/BR pay to man and be in charge of these cameras and capturing the "guilty" who did not pay? The "guilt" is already recorded by a private co. It's a private company. BR Police have enough problems keeping up with the real cases they are supposed to work.

And the relative of mine had it as a mark on its credit score. Believe me or not, but he did.

BUT after I move, I will never send them money again.

This +10000000000. Don't fall for the scam. Only few places in the US have them linked to even the DMV.

They lasted only about 1 yr here around Arlington before they got removed.
