That is not correct. Just in Texas we had maybe 20 guys under 4:15

I'm pretty sure the fastest mile I ever ran involved a situation where timing it was the furthest thing from my mind.

Plenty of guys ran under 4:15 in 2014. Not sure what you are looking at.

I'm not sure why you are telling me that 1609m = 1 mile. I'm obviously aware of that, as I posted that a mile is longer than 1600m. 9 meters and some change, actually.

The link you provided indicates that the best 1600m time last year was 5.02 seconds! Second fastest was 5.34 and third was 52.25 seconds. If you would take a second to remove your head from your rectum, you may view the actual best high school mile performances from 2016 here: https://trackandfieldnews.com/index.php/tafn-lists?list_id=6&sex_id=M&yyear=2016

I was looking at the 2017 1600 meter scores from Max Prep, those are better than numbers from 2014. Since all have to be electric timed I believe

That's not on Max Prep, although amusing you've gotten this defensive

Why would you cite Max Prep as an authoritative source when even a cursory glance at the link you provided indicates their list is erroneous?

I looked at Maxprep and it appears they are only showing times from 5 or 6 states. Their list is not accurate.

Because Max Preps is a great source for other sports and gave me a 2017 list vs other sites giving older list.

nah, no one pissed off. had a friend of mine take a fall on a mountain. Ran my arse down a road for help. So, I guess I was aided by the downhill which DQed my time.

Just to recap:

You tried to call out a guy who claimed to have run 4:43 for the mile by implying 1) 4:43 is close to 4:30 and 2) 4:30 is a scholarship worthy time. No one would lie about running a 4:43, because it isn't impressive. It's like lying about driving a Ford Taurus or making $60k/year. I and another poster point out that 4:30 is not a great time for a high school boy. You double down by providing a link to MaxPreps that indicated the best mile time in 2016 by a high school boy was 5.02 seconds, which you misread as 5 minutes and 2 seconds. Upon my providing a link to the actual best times of 2016, you accuse me of being defensive.

Am I inaccurate in anything here?

Dyestat is a more accurate list for track & field.
