I just asked a few questions and you got defensive. I figure you are shorting yourself 5 minutes at least.

cause your question was pretty stupid. and it was asked just to be a prick. obviously
The 38 minutes is what i remember. 152 was the cars top. did it numerous times in it. needle was buried a few times on the ride.

Inspired by the guy who thinks 125 is fast, lol

Mine would be on i-10 in an infiniti g37. 152mph
I made it from Canal Street in Nola to Bluebonnet in 38 minutes @4am. Never was going slower than 130 the whole way. frickING STUPID. Young & Dumb. Dumb dumb

152 isn't even THAT fast. I'm sure somebody here has gone 170+ on the interstate

No, when I was a teenager I did some dumb stuff but never anything mentally retarded. It's not "cool" to drive that fast. 16 is the driving age but it should probably be higher when I read shite like this

You endangered your own and everyone around you's lives

I'm not sure I've driven 100 before

around 130 in my dad's old 89 Acura Legend. Doesn't sound fast but that was on 2 lane country roads. I was dumb as a kid. I had an 87 Maxima that I ran around 110 to 120 a lot on some shitty roads just floating. If I hit a rock I would have died. Now I don't go over about 80 to 85 on interstates depending on weather, traffic and how far I am going. If I am doing a 2 hour drive, there is no point in going over 75 to 80, if it is a 10+ hour drive then that extra 5 to 10 miles an hour adds up.

Yeah I think that was it. I took a random left and ended up by Cabela's and I-10.

Doing 130 on a 2 lane country road is waaaaaaaay more dangerous than 150+ on i10

Well, you didn't remember the car you were driving, so you can understand my skepticism.

Other than that you math didn't check out, you didn't maintain the speed you claimed, and possibly went a speed the car was governed from achieving.

Fwiw, Japanese and European cars are also speed limited not just American.

I laugh at the ones that have done over 120 in a car compared to a motorcycle. I'll hang up and listen

just cause your dumbass doesn't know they aren't governed, doesn't make this questionable

Is that as fun as they make it out or just a big headache? Have heard both.

Depends. If you're actually participating it's fun but also a headache. I made 10 passes and never could get over 178. Taped up front grilles/hood scoop/wheels/etc and then the car started running hot. Those guys running 200+ are driving some insanely powerful cars. Most of the issue is traction at the start.

I wouldn't get much enjoyment being in spectator mode though

Well, this thread made me google the question and from what I have found the early models were governed in the low 140's and the later models (~13) are governed in the high 150's.

Personally, I have only been a passenger in my brother G35 doing somewhere are 120. If it wasn't 10 years ago I would call and ask if he ever hit a limit.

Would love to do it one day given the proper wheels. Not sure the Jeep makes the ideal runs.
