What's The Biggest Risk You Ever Took?

Mine was starting this thread.
Seriously, I have taken a lot of risk. The one I will tell is.. This was in my mid 20s.. I had a bankroll of about $2300 from over 6 or 7 years of winnings playing cards (mostly poker).
One night I decided I was going to put $2000 on black. Did it.. BOOM! Hit. Normally I bounce when I am up (after all, you continuing to play is where casinos get you right?). Well I had been drinking and I was talked into putting $4000 on red. After I hit black the first time, black hit again (I wasn't playing). Knowing that has nothing to do with the next spin I still let someone convince me that the next spin had to hit red... Well.. It didn't.

It sure as shite sounds like it huh?
The thing is.. I was leaving the table.. And that person was like "Look! It just hit black again! You could leave with $8000 instead of $4000. If it doesn't hit you are losing winnings anyway. You scared?".
Then I got all "scared? what the frick I got to be scared of?". And did it.

Not me.
I hit up the small money players who didn't want to lose too much money so they played conservative and you know what they were holding..

We are moving to a new state in 3 weeks , with only one of us employed. Up and leaving. No family there or anything. And we can't wait.

Now that's a risk. What was the motivation to move?

Not writing my crimes down in a public forum

Not wanting to raise our child in this shithole city.

It'll work out. I did that when we moved here. No jobs, nothing. Everything is opportunity

Good luck to y'all HC. Wife and I with a small child did the same thing years ago and it worked out well. No regrets.
It will work out for you too.

It will. We are at a point in our lives where it works perfectly. Can't wait for the new adventure and for my son to grow up somewhere nice.
