Jaeger tanked the TopGolf project when they didn’t want to partner on his shitty TP site. Jaeger signed with the TopGolf knockoff and then they shite the bed. 504 took over because Jaeger didn’t want to move forward without a national partner. He could’ve opened 504 with a single call. He owned the mayor and the state wasn’t going to do a thing to stop him. 504 assumed Jaeger would continue preventing TopGolf. They absolutely wanted government to prevent competition just via Joe Jaeger.
504 also got taxpayer money through the same PILOT tax and the city repaved the surface under the Broad street overpass and built them a 175 spots parking lot. All these developers are a bunch of leaches.

Jaeger was a POS. No argument. My comments have nothing to do with him. Everything that happened after him is why NOLA, Convention Center and Top Golf were fricking the citizens
504 is not Jaeger and were fricked over by the City and Top Golf after they put the investment in and didnt stop Top Golf.
Owners of 504 have stacks of finished projects that have bettered the city.

Jaeger could be an arse, who used a big checkbook and politics to bully people to get what he wanted, often at the expense of the general public. So not here to defend him. But, yes...
Not the biggest fan of PILOTs, but I understand why they exist, and why developers use them. But there is a huge world of difference between a public agency doing commercial development on public land.
