Bow ties are the only kind of tie I’ve worn since 1989. I used to not wear them in jury trials, but after I wore one in ‘89 during a 3 day trial and did just fine and successfully defended the appeal - I said “I gotta be me” and I wear them whenever I wear a tie.

People should just make sure they do not wear clip-ons. Also, they should be worn a bit askew (like the mind of the wearer).

But to each his own. I don’t make fun of people who wear four-in-hand ties.

I avoid wearing ties at all if I can manage to. If I never wear one again in my life I'd be fine with it.

No one will force you to wear one.
