Nothing! Light shows, hard rain, thunder, and great sleep.

Ahhhhhhh, goodnight OT.

I'm visiting my parents who live close to train tracks. I love the sound and it reminds me of my childhood sleeping with windows open and hearing the trains.

Summer night storms are the best. You can see them from miles around.

This is where the term "heat lightning" came from.

People many years ago thought the lightning was coming from nothing but the heat, but its actually due to thunderstorms in the distance.

I like early morning weekend storms better. Can justify being a little lazy.

I love watching those thunderstorm/squalls while fishing at night in the Gulf. You can see them miles away.

Some years ago me and a friend were hunting at night. I noticed a flash over the horizon. Eventually we could hear the rumble of thunder. As the storm approached we began to look for shelter. There was an old barn that had fallen with just the peak of the metal roof remaining. We began to run and got to shelter as the rain poured and the thunder boomed. After about thirty minutes the rain quit and we crawled from under the roof. As the storm moved away the lightning lit up the sky in chains across the heavens.
