Just went through this except it was only two companies. Company A I really wanted to work for, Company B not so much but they had already scheduled an on-site interview for me. Told Company A I was scheduled for a visit to Company B and they scheduled an interview that ended up being before my other interview. In between my first interview and the other company's interview, got an offer from Company A and used that to my advantage during the interview with Company B. Ended up getting an extra 10k from the original offer and was sold, headed up north in two weeks.

Essentially, go through the process with all four companies and whatever is your top choice as of current clue them in what's going on and gauge their interest as to how badly they want you. Best of luck

Timing is never ideal so you'll likely have some tough decisions to make eventually. The main thing is to remember for the time being is that you can't turn down an offer that you never get. Right now you should pursue all of them as if they are your only option.

Tell the other companies that you're getting close to an offer and see if you can try and get them synced up on timing. Once you have one in hand, ask if you can take a few days to talk it over with your inner circle. I wouldn't start lying and making up stories in order to stall. How you handle this will be a big reflection of how you'll handle decision making as an employee. If they want you, they'll give you the time to make the right decision.

Just keep in mind that things can and do change and nothing is official until you return your signed paperwork. I've seen offers pulled due to unforeseen business conditions and also due to people playing too many games.

Sounds like a nice problem to have.
