Eta, if i had definitive proof, yes i would tell. No questions asked.
I caught my buddy's gf cheating on him back in college. I told her she had until noon the next day to tell him before I did. Mistake because while she did tell him, they talked about it at night and she played the whole im sorry card. He fell for it. Sometimes i wonder if I would have saved him extra trouble by telling him first myself.

Shouldn't need evidence if it's a close enough friend. I trust my good friends and wouldn't ask them to prove it

I can't provide an example because its never happened to me
but I know that if a friend knew about something like before I was married, and didn't tell me about it, I'd be fricking pissed
