Build that barn/ kennel for our dogs and the foster dogs .

I'm serious about this. It'd be an improvement for them for it would allow them to have some more time outdoors

No BS, my wife and I spent $170k (insurance payout) 5 months ago. We paid off the mortgage, car loan, and Credit Cards before spending most of the remaining money on a new car.

If I had another $100k? Probably a month long trip around Europe & Olympics, followed by a week in Adelaide for a couple of Port AFL games, and then a few days in Hawaii before heading home. That would check off a lot of my bucket list items.

Being debt free is great.

Also improves your cash flow. You can redirect the payments to investments.

Not having debt is a huge psychological boost. Also removes the payments from your monthly budget, so you get to invest the money.

Even with the usually lower rate of return you're buying certainty and security.

100k? Before or after taxes?

If after, having 100k....

1. Pay off my only debt: 10k.

2. Buy new truck: 60k

3. Buy new Colt Delta Elite, Beretta 92xi Squalo, and a new retro Colt AR-15: 6-ish-k

4. Buy a kickass generator and deepfreeze: 2k

5. Invest the remainder.

When you look back this will be one of the best financial decisions you’ve ever made.

Compound interest is that important.

I guess it depends on their interest rate. My house is 2.7% and i am not touching that fricker. I don't have any other bills so i split the rest between deer hunting, vacations, and investments. The kids 529 is funded so we good there.

Ah, thanks brother. I am familiar, hence my choice, but it is refreshing to hear some outside assurance. You be well, stranger.
