pellet gun is my preferred meathod for nuisiance cat removal. My neighborhood has quite a few strays that hang around eating people's trash. A few is ok and keeps mice away. Too many is a nusiance. When I notice more than 4 individuals with no collars, I pop 1-2 with the gun and throw them in the canal in the back of the hood.
If you know it's your neighbor's cat, the "talk to them, call authorities, take action" meathod works best.

I think CCI makes some 22LR pest deterrent shot. Just a bunch of plastic BBs. I personally catch them and dump them in the middle of BFE woods. I think it is funny having them slide back and forth in the bed of my truck when I take sharp turns too fast or go over big bumps and bounce them in the air
