The Slums and Barrios by the border of Texas,look like a country club,compared to the ones on the border with Cali.
The Migrant worker shanties,probably a step up from where they came from.
Indian areas.. Did you ever notice, every home has that little round,or octagon building on the property?
I am not sure that most don't live exactly how they want,our judgement or is not important to them. It is their way of living in that place. It is rugged and harsh and dirty. The people who make the most of it, they have to learn to live with it. IMHO.

First job in the 80's was collecting for a loan sharking operation down the Hwy 90 corridor so I was in contact with people that took out loans at 36% interest, something that was and still is illegal in Arkansas.
