They’re 2 different things. Edging in on the sidewalk/driveway. Weedeating is around trees, on the side of the house, around flower beds, fences, etc.

Yep.

I don't have a huge yard though, can weedeat, edge, and blow the trimmings on one fully charged battery.

I am not old, but when i first started cutting my grandpa's grass when i was about 12, he made me edge the driveway with a machete.
I use an edger and my weedeater. The edger is much faster. I use the weedeater when it's bad.
