I was in Memphis a couple years ago walking around the Peabody, I saw on old building that still had a nuclear fallout shelter sign on it, was trying to figure out a way to take it without being arrested, couldn’t believe it was still there

Craft breweries. Wiseacre, Cooper House Project, Memphis Made, High Cotton, Grind City, Crosstown, etc.
Great cocktail bars. Eight and Sand, Bar Hustle, Bar Limina, Art Bar at Crosstown Concourse…which is something cool to see all its own.
Graceland is expensive, but actually well-worth it if you’ve never been and have any interest at all. It’s a lot more than a house tour. There’s a massive museum complex tied to it with old cars, army memorabilia, jumpsuits, gold records, airplanes, etc.
Also check out the new Tom Lee Park on the river. A great place for a morning stroll if the weather is nice.
We lived in Memphis for several years before coming back to BR and enjoyed our time there. Has a lot of the same problems as BR and NOLA but don’t let it ruin your time.

I have to be very honest now. I own that city. I'm talking Orange Mound all the way to that South Side.
Memphis is dirty. Move your arse along like folks done told you - it is not a city to play in.

Rendezvous isn't that bad, people just like being cool and saying it is. Cool old school spot. I'd definitley go if you've never been before. Check Beale out, go home at dark lol

Not a bbq place but Dyers Burgers is awesome
They deep fry the burger in a cast iron skillet using grease that’s over 100 years old that they strain and reuse
It’s greasy artery clogging greatness

Beale is really overrated. All of the danger of Bourbon Street and like 5% of the fun.
Beale is far more dangerous than Bourbon st imo

Just got back.
Graceland was actually a very good experience. I’m not a big Elvis fan but I enjoyed learning about the guy. His car collection was crazy.

What are Memphis' redeeming qualities?
It’s the nearest major airport to one of my kids.
The airport is emblematic of MEM in general.

Memphian here. You don’t own shite. You may have bought some shithole rentals off Lamar, but you should give them back. People in Memphis are the kindest in the world. All you scared to come on must have a certain scent on you. I look people in the eye, show respect to everyone and never a problem.

Well, what do you call someone that tries to think of a way to steal shite?

I would think that was a way of saying that would be cool to have in my man cave and assume that a member of such distinguished board with such strict membership requirements as the OT wouldn’t be quite the obtuse dolt not to surmise that, but, this is, after all, the OT

That’s a lot of words to say you’re a thief without saying it.
