Spin off from the attack thread.... I actually was reading about this not long ago.

One suggestion was to jam your thumb/finger up its nose. Apparently, dogs nostrils are extremely sensitive and he'll probably release his grip.

Secondly, finger up the a-hole... not kidding...

If it's a person or my dog, Janikowski impression.

If it's a random dog, I'm letting nature take its course

Thumb to the eye socket might do the trick.

I've personally witnessed a pitt bull latch on to a person's chained up lab. The owner of the lab was beating the Pitt over the head with a shovel. The Pitt did not release his grip what so ever. So the answer is probably not much, that most people would be willing to do, outside of a bullet.

I could incapacitate one with a kick. I’d tee off on that m’fr

I had a pit mix and husky that hated each other. A trainer recommended lifting the pit by its hind legs which will remove most of their pulling strength.

Not sure it will unlatch the jaw though.

We don’t deserve dogs. So you should definitely help the dog. Maybe start biting too.

Another technique is to grab its back legs and lift them up and twist etc. Trying to choke it out takes a long time if it even works...

PS - I'm not fingering its a-hole myself... that just something from the article I read.

Need to round up all these elderly and child killing dogs, crate em up and ship them to Africa and run them through the crocodiles with the zebras. ?? or instead of the zebras.

It only takes 10 pounds of pressure to pull their legs apart out of socket or break their sternum.

You have to render them unconscious or incapacitated. Punching and kicking not gonna do much, you’ll break your hand before you hurt that dog head, maybe if You’re a great kicker.

Choking the amount is a good option as they’re so focused they won’t defend it

I imagine you’re trying be funny and hard with this comment, but I hope you know that it will not work.

You can find some nsfl videos online of pit bulls locking onto a dog or a person. You will not physically remove the pit from its prey. No kick, shovel, stick, bat, or punch will work.

That’s why people recommend something drastic like shoving something into its a-hole. It’s enough to shock it into letting go. It’s been bred to be an animal that chomps down harder as it is physically attacked.

Bullet, a-hole, knife to the throat. Those are your options.

Having been in the situation where my dog and I were attacked by a pit.the answer is to shoot that piece of shite in the head. And, if you don't have a gun, punch the fricker in the face as hard and as many times as you can. Thumb up the a-hole only further enrages it. Tried that first.
