This. They won't stop cooking curry. I would have thought it was BS as well, but I have been exposed to it.

Apartment manager said this "I did not smell anything when I did a walk through" and she was confused about what I was talking about. She offered to purchase and install charcoal buckets in our vents to see if it solved the problem. She said if it did not, they would try to figure out next steps.

Turns out, in the two bedroom apartment beneath us, there were 11 Mexicans and a baby living in it.

This begs the questions:
Where'd the Mexicans get the baby?
Or
Could it have possibly been a Messican Baby?
Or
Do we need Owlvis to interpet?

I've been there... first apartment up in DC-metro... It was fricking terrible. I just dealt with it for about 5 months and broke my lease for other reasons... leaving that shite behind was an added bonus.

Why don't you make them stop cooking it?

That brings back some old memories. When I was a kid we lived above an Indian couple for about a year. Everytime they cooked it was something terrible, I will never forget that aweful smell. My mom tried everything to cover it but nothing worked. We finally moved. Hopefully you can figure something out. I feel for you, good luck.

Buddy of mine rented to some Indian students once. When they moved out, the curry smell was so prominent, he had to gut the house and re-sheetrock the whole thing. Been about six years since that happened and he's still pissed about it.
