What to bring to a Christmas dinner party?

I really hate to show up empty handed anywhere. But this is someone who literally has it all. He’s a former prominent politician in Georgia. I have been invited to his annual Christmas party. Menu is stone crab and shrimp cocktail for appetizer, filet and scallops with baked potatoes, creamed spinach and Caesar salad for entree. Said he has 6 cases of good wine for us as well. I’ve never been to a party like this tbh. Do I honor his request and not bring anything? I’ve always been told to never show up empty handed but I honestly don’t know what to bring that he wouldn’t already have. Thought about cigars but he doesn’t smoke. Not sure if he would if I did bring some nice cigars for the guys. Bottle of bourbon? He’s got the best of them all. Hookers for late night? Probably has the best of all of them as well..

A special homemade or family recipe dessert? Christmas flower arrangement?

Cealis and a bag of weed
Honestly, a guy that set up doesn’t want you to bring anything or need anything you’ll bring. Just go.

Make some herb infused olive oil (very easy - literally stick sprigs of an herb in a clear bottle, fill it with EVOO and cork it). Then attach a hand-written note card to the gentelman thanking him for his generosity, influence on your life, etc...
It's personal, inexpensive, presents well and as a bonus the bottle can be painted/decorated by your kids if he knows them.

I’d bring a nice bottle of champagne and then saber it in his living room.

For someone like that, I’d find an unusual single malt scotch that has good ratings.

I'd bring a unique Eyes Wide Shut mask for the Mistress of the house myself
Don't wear something that overshadows what you think he will have on.

A 2017 vintage port. Taylor Fladgate, Dow's or Graham's. He can cellar it for decades if he's got that long.

This isn’t what food to bring. I am very familiar with the F&D board. Love it. But this is more of an idea what to bring as a gift. Not what food to bring as he has stated not to bring any food as it’s all taken care of. Just wanted to paint the picture of what type of get together this will be based on what he has told me.

Honestly need more info to answer completely. Is he a good friend or an acquaintance? How many people will be there? Are you attending alone or with a date?
All of that aside, a guy like you describe has planned out everything for the evening and doesn’t need or really want anything. At the same time, a gift is a nice gesture and never goes unnoticed. I’d bring a nice bottle of champagne or port or maybe bourbon (it doesn’t matter if he already has it, it’s a gesture), which are things you could theoretically enjoy before (champagne) or after (port, bourbon) the meal he has planned out. Most likely, he will just stash it somewhere, but that’s ok. Small price to pay for a nice party.

Alternatively, you could gift him a one year membership to the jelly of the month club.

Have become good friends with him in the past 2-3 years. Have been over for multiple get togethers at his house and lake house in that time but nothing like this. I pretty much catered a couple of them with briskets, butts, sides and dips. he knows I enjoy cooking and feel that’s why he said I don’t need to bring anything but I feel that was more of a you don’t need to bring any food type thing. Those have always been football Saturdays, july 4th and other smaller parties just hanging out and drinking beer though. 20-30ish people. With a date.
