If it had been any larger, they wouldn't have been able to get it in the globe on that cat.

It actually is coming right at us... Literally. Andromeda and the Milky Way are on a collision course and will collide in a few billion years.

And it is said that not one of the hundred billion stars crossing paths will collide due to the extreme expanse of space around every star. They will "pass through" each other.
