What Purpose do Crows Serve?

I sitting in the backyard enjoying a cup of coffee listening to the birds wake up and chirp, watching the sun come up and there’s a crows nest in my neighbors tree. There must be 5 or 6 crows that live it and they come and go all day and they are loud as frick. All they do is crow and fly around like they’re in attack mode.
I can’t shoot them bc I’m in the city and don’t want the Nextdoor Nazis to start a war with me so what can I do to make them leave?
What are they good for to begin with? I see them fricking with the neighborhood cats from time to time. Are they enemies?

If they don't provide an immediate benefit to you, then they are no good and need to be eliminated, right?

Sometimes when they all start circling my house crowing and all that none sense I feel like I’m in that movie where the crows attack.
What’s the name of that movie?

The Birds is a 1963 American horror-thriller film directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock. Loosely based on the 1952 story of the same name by Daphne du Maurier, it focuses on a series of sudden and unexplained violent bird attacks on the people of Bodega Bay, California, over the course of a few days.

They're play toys for blackbirds. They love chasing crows. Don't ask me why.

They eat a lot of insects.
quote:
Crows feed on the nectar of red or orange tubular flowers such as trumpet creeper, cardinal flower, honeysuckle, jewelweed, bee-balm, red buckeye and red morning glory, and, sometimes, tree sap. Crows also catch insects in midair or pull them out of spider webs. Main insect prey includes mosquitoes, gnats, fruit flies, and small bees; also eats spiders. Crows sometimes take insects attracted to sap wells or picks small caterpillars and aphids from leaves.

They are among the smartest animals. Not just birds, but animals in general. They can figure out trap doors and puzzles all on their own.
