I broke down on the interstate just North of Laurel,Ms. On a Saturday. Googled “wreckers near me. “. The driver answered on the second ring. Had me loaded up on his wrecker 17 minutes after I called.

I had lost my fan belt and asked him to bring me to Laurel to buy a breaker bar and belt. He brought me to his mechanic friend instead. The mechanic had a man in town who picked up a belt who then came install it. Wrecker bill 100.00 cash. Mechanic bill 75.00 including belt and coolant !

And the mechanic’s wife made us all a sandwich. to the good ones.

you do have to find a good one - some are very good at just getting you back into alignment or if you dislocate a rib. I have gone into a chiropractor office barely able to walk from back pain and then could jog to my car after.

They do have a whack-a-Doo contingency that will claim it will heal diabetes, high cholesterol and a myriad of STDs.

Both rank up there as professions full of people who believe they are entitled to be respected and blindly believed regardless of how incompetent, dishonest, and useless they actually are.
