I hear they're very sturdy and well suited for hurricanes along the coast. If I were to build a camp in Delacroix or shell beach, this is the way I would go.

They insulate those things? Bc if not I wouldn't want to be in one for more than 5 minutes.

They can stud them up and sheet rock them with insulation and you'd never know you are in a metal container

I guess they can be pretty cool if you get creative like some of them did.

I know right.

I mean it is so white to show creativity, initiative and hard work to make something useful out of something that was not much more than scrap metal.

White men should definitely stop doing that and act more like blacks and women so the social victim classes won't feel inferior -- I mean everybody has to be equal right, and how are these things even equal to the sqaulor that is the 'projects'? Nope, can't have that.

Therefore, we must denigrate and insult anyone who shows initiative, creativity, independence, and Gaia forbid, the ability to exist without government and corporate approval. It's probably just a coincidence that white males often happen to be the target of ridicule in the mainstream media. Coincidence I'm sure.

Because dependency and sloth are the way we should all live so the slothful dependents don't feel bad about themselves.

I just brought my equipment to Clinton and helped a buddy set two containers up. Said he paid $3k each delivery and all. Cool stuff.

There's a new bar in Austin called container bar which has four or five of these connected to each other as a lounge area...pretty cool.

The Gulf in Orange Beach is the same concept.

0 on the scale.

Those things kick arse. I've considered buying a couple and making a "cabin" to replace my cabin.

There isn't enough gap between St. George and the LP for it to be used as two different points in this form of measurement.

The fact that you think this is trashy shows how trashy and out of touch you are.

Trashy? Shipping container houses can be fricking awesome.

Let me guess, you have a home with vinyl siding? Because to me, that's more trashy.

think they are cool. I absolutely love the creative "tiny houses" that people are creating nowadays.

(The thing I hate is when they are way overpriced like those "Tiny Tumbleweed houses". They are cute but so freaking expensive considering how small they are.)

I like living a simple life without the McMansion, the mortgage, HOAs and all of the expenses and BS that go along with that. I don't want to live my life, slaving away to pay off a huge mortgage, trying to pay the utilities and bills that it takes to run such a house.

Too many people are working jobs they don't like, working more than they want to, to try and finance a life full of things they can't really afford, trying to keep up with everyone else.

I'd rather have a small simple house with lots of land and privacy, away from the city, city codes, HOAs, and all that goes with that. That's the life I live and that I love.

I'd love to have one of these containers to work on as a project to create a small guesthouse or camp. I already have one tiny guesthouse/camp that I am fixing up as my private playhouse but I would love another one too

I have an upvote for you Sir. I could work wonders with three of them.
