Freight moves with specialized equipment like that get very expensive, very fast. It probably takes $5k just to get that thing out of the yard. Figure it permits, escorts, route surveys. Moving something like that across a few states would likely exceed $20k.

Lol. 20k wouldn't wven get the trailers to the yard.

Depending on the distance it more than likely started at 50k

we drop $20k on standard escorted wide loads to California.

That thing could easily hit 50-75-100k depending on distance

Whatever it is it's heavy and he is loaded, if he was empty he'd be hooked to the main trailer and have the self steering dolly(6 axles behind trailer)on it along with the 2 jeep assemblies (6 axles in front of trailer) loaded on it.

If you really want to see some heavy shite being Hauled go to 19axle.com and check out the shite they haul.

Oh and depending on how far it's going anywhere from 300k up on cost

Yup. The buyer of my last vehicle shipped it from Baton Rouge to Madison, Wisconsin and it cost them $3k on a single flatbed.

Way heavier than a tank. We used to move 90ton ROV winches all the time with no where near that many axles, and it was about the same size. Whatever it is, it is a very dense material, encased by a very dense material, and by dense I don't mean stupid...... That's a lot of weight distribution for such a compact size... G.W.Bush's hurricane machine headed South, or Michelle Obama's hoarded loot from the White House... I dunno....

Funny berrard story, I was talking to one of their owners about cool stuff they moved and he told me about a huge oak tree they moved somewhere in Texas. I asked him why they moved it and he said "it was for some guy. He paid for it personally. I don't know why he wanted that tree moved, maybe it was the first place he fricked or something".

It's probably a utility size transformer. They weight ~500k pounds without oil and the with the radiators and other auxiliaries off they are a square shape like the one posted.

Moving something like from Pitt to Texas would cost $60k plus

Not including loading and unloading.

It absolutely is a pressure vessel. Made in S. Korea, brought to Mobile and up TenTom to Pickensville, AL then trucked Maybe 50 miles to DeKalb for Lignite coal plant. I still think it is a column to separate the sulfur compounds and Carbon dioxide from lignite combustion.

Here is a big one for same plant.

This Coker drum and another identical to it was moved across Sulphur this week. The move and subsequent lifts to set them both not including welding or final installation will cost the client very close to $1million. Each one of them weighed 150tons and was 120' long and 18' tall.
