My parents or my wife's parents pay for shite for us all the time, never a vacation on our own, but if we are going with them, they pick up the tab 100%. Usually for everything while we are there too. They don't let us pay no matter how many times we offer.

My pops tried that once on a trip one time. What you do is slip mom the cash. She'll take it.

How is this trashy?? It's trashy to go on a vacation you can't afford.
My wife and I are financially set, so my parents usually pay for a trip, or part of one for our Christmas gifts. It's much better than them buying some crap we don't need, and more thoughtful than just handing us money.
