I've never lived in one, but I have friends who have. Most recently I've heard them complain about plumbing issues (some outside water faucet broke soon after moving in) and painting (had to have walls re-painted, had paint upgrade and paint was still low quality).

I'm not sure about the finance process, but I know they are relatively cheap.

In Lafayette, the older neighborhoods such as off of east bayou, around Lafayette high, or the saint streets. That’s the best places to live in town IMO. Don’t move to the southside. It’s so crammed. Mid town Lafayette is the best.
