This is not. If you thought,"Oh, that's pretty", when you saw this, people would think you were pretty abnormal or had some kind of fetish or something.

Not even close.

No matter how proud they try to make themselves feel, every single one of those walruses would rather be skinnier. They simply don't have the willpower.

People can do and wear whatever they want and I'm fine by it, it doesn't bother me, but don't lie to yourself and put out this false perception that you're happy with yourself.

If I didn't spend a large portion of my time treating wounds and amputating toes and feet of people like these beautiful ladies suffering from diabetes, I would be more tolerant of the beauty is in the eye of the beholder argument. In today's society, being obese simply means someone is either unwilling or incapable of making basic choices in their life like a halfway healthy diet. It is something that should be actively discouraged. Yes I'm mad.

So you looked at the fat chick and went "Oh, she's pretty" and you looked at the puddle of mud and thought "What a lovely view"?

Or was there some objective standard of beauty that you quietly understood and leaned toward?

And for people who say it doesn't bother them, do you have any idea how much money is spent treating diseases associated with obesity? It very much affects everyone here.

Do you propose that we tell them that they are unattractive or just tell them to live a healthier lifestyle?

If the first one convinces them to attain the second, Scruffy recommends we do both.

Depends on the person. If a person has no shame as many fatties dont, then calling them ugly doesnt do much.

Should I be happy that no pics have been posted even to page 3?

Unfortunately, solidifying obesity as something which is socially unacceptable would be much more effective than trying to educate folks on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. I spend a lot of time educating patients, and 99% falls on deaf ears.

People would rather eat a pizza and a 2 liter than a salad, and don't care about damage to their health as long as someone online will tell them they're beautiful too.

If these women thought they were actually beautiful, then why are they covering half of their belly with their bikini bottoms? Is it because they don't want us to realize that there is a huge roll tucked beneath there?

Listen, I'm all for being comfortable in your own skin and all of that jazz, but I wouldn't encourage people to continue in a dangerous lifestyle that will likely lead to their death.

I'm sure they're all proud of their medical bills, rising health insurance premiums, and manic panting after climbing a staircase.

Do you think that they're eating badly because of positive re-enforcement from friends and society or because they have an eating disorder or because they've eaten so badly throughout their lives that change is the biggest challenge that they'll ever face? I can see parents being a bad or overprotective influence, but I really don't see people telling a fat woman that she's beautiful as a major reason for her maintaining a weight problem.

They are adults now. The "it's harder for me" bullshite isn't an acceptable answer. You think working in factories 60 hours a week was easy? Hell no but a generation ago they sucked it up and got it done.

It surely doesn't motivate them to lose it. If I looked terrible I'd hope to be made aware of that fact in order to make a change.

Not only that, but in order to become obese you have to develop unhealthy living habits (unless it's medically induced), and by promoting them as beautiful you're basically promoting an unhealthy lifestyle.

Fat people should not be celebrated because of their fatness.
