Way, way, way back in high school, me and a bunch of classmates had a field trip to the renaissance fair in plantersville. We had decided to go all out with costumes barrowed from the drama department. Got drunk Friday night and missed the bus Saturday morning.

Mom said she would drive me and drop me off (coolest thing she ever did for me) so I got in my costume and we headed out. I found my friends once I got there and no, they weren't in costume.

I spent the rest of the day giving directions and answering questions for all the the other tourists.

Once went to a movie after a formal event in a tux. Throughout the movie I kept taking shite off. Walked out the back door in an undershirt and pants by the end.

Went to a wedding in Indiana where the groom wore jeans, a plaid button down, and a belt buckle bigger than my head. It was outside, there were multiple people in T-shirts and/or hats, and one guy was finishing a beer while the bride walked up.

I (becuase it's a fvcking wedding) wore a suit like everyone with a pulse should, and people thought I was an alien.

Thankfully, nothing too extreme. I was going to a friend's engagement party in Fairhope. I knew ahead of time that the wedding was going to very formal (night wedding, tails, etc.) I misplaced the invitation for one of the engagement parties. I show up in a nicer pair of blue jeans, button up shirt, and a tweed blazer. Ya know, the total WASP look. The engagement party turned out to be nothing more than a shrimp boil. A lot of people were out on the bay all day and well deep into the cups. Everyone got a good laugh and was having a good time, so it wasn't that bad.
