That's trashy, culturally, not necessarily Southern culturally. I take him to mean something like the Momus bal masque or society in Savannah, etc.

Woodland, AL or Ranburne, AL

Woodland is exactly like it sounds, in the middle of the woods.

Ranburne supposedly still had their sundown town signs up until about 10 years ago
