Thanks to social/sports media and a few legislative changes, maturity is not as big a deal in America anymore. Only a few societies strictly demand it these days.

We were in San Pedro.

It was also super expensive -- not so much accomodations, but food and alcohol (they produce nothing, so super high import tax). Oh, and the island was out of the countries local beer for a few days..

Decent place if you're going specifically for fishing and diving, but not a beach destination as advertised. The gas powered golf cart thing was kinda cool though.
