I agree with that but I don't hear this as a central message. BLM seems to believe police violence is overwhelmingly about race. If it is about more general reform then staying on message about the specific reforms being requested would be the first step.

This. So much of this.

If the intended meaning of BLM was not rife with racism and vitriol it's being degraded to the point that it no longer matters by radicals. BLM is quickly becoming a hate filled movement, as far as we can see from the outside.

Like I told the poster earlier, I get many people don't feel that way and want to support what BLM was originally meant to stand for. However, these people need to move in a different direction than BLM is currently heading.

I genuinely want to see better for my race. It hurts my heart honestly, to see us dying at astronomical rates. Getting locked up at astronimical rates. Most people say "its all whiteys fault" But Im a strong proponent of self responsibility. The fault lies with us. It really pains me to see so many young folks be so stupid. Most dont care, but me personally. I care.

Just curious if anyone knows the answer to this, but what did MLK do when Malcolm X tried to high jack his peace message and militarize the black community in the 60's?

it seems that the leadership in BLM should look at that as a blue print in controlling the message and keeping everything on point.

BLM is mostly a bunch of foot soldiers for the Democratic Party and their major donors now. They show up the summer before election years when they need increased black voter turnout or if they need to frame the current media narrative around race with shocking protests and sometimes violence.

That's not the original scope of BLM but that's what they've turned into. Originally it was a grassroots protest of police brutality in black neighborhoods. It's gotten vastly more political since then and more extremists have gotten involved. BLM now uses hateful rhetoric and emotional appeals to destroy logical debate. They exploit (and aggravate) racial tension to scare and anger black voters with the intent of driving voter turnout when needed.

BLM = Black Lynch Mob

If they could go to the officer's house, rip him out of his bed and hang him in the street in front of his family, they would.
