It's Joshjrn, thanks. The rest was an extraordinarily verbose argument from authority.

To those who didn't want to read all of that, you're welcome.

When I feel inclined to post, I say what I want to say without regard for people like you are probably not smart enough to contribute to the conversation.

But thank you for the bump. Feel free to go play in traffic now.

my point was that very few people testify to seeing protons, neutrons, and electrons. They generally accept this because a professor or book claims that they exist.

Oh, I don't disagree with you at all on this point, I realize that someone who has not is basically taking it on faith. I'm just saying that as someone who did the experimental work I'm not in that category with respect to this subject.

I also don't believe you can prove that evolution occurred or the Bug Bang. It's not demonstrable.

I'm not aware of anyone who claims they are True with a capital "T". But they are the simplest explanations consistent with known evidence. I'm always amused by people who think (usually after about ten seconds' thought) they've found one flaw that just "doesn't make sense" to them and that must mean everything is wrong. Maybe if they spent a few years studying the subject they might not leap to conclusions so easily.
