SIAP. Didn’t see anything else on this.
Per the StG FB page. Not linking a FB page, but here’s the updated screenshot:

ETA: edited screenshot to reflect the latest. It doesn’t exactly help LaToya any.

So what is Together Baton Rouge's plan for the St. George area if it fails? Will it be incorporated into the city? Seems like that is the only right thing to do.

St George has no change of failing. I can’t wait to vote.

There’s a campaign rally Thursday September 5th.

Doesn't make any sense. St. George doesn't even have statues.

They don’t need one. They’re just hoping to maintain the status quo, i.e., St. George $$$ with as little input from the unincorporated areas as possible.

I don’t think it’s going to fail though. shite like this just drives people away.

We got an interesting phone call recently from someone fundraising to stop St. George from happening.

What was the phone call about?

Turns out the person who called was Amy Rodenburger, former Executive Office Director for New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell.

If she doesnt work for the Mayor anymore how can.....

the Mayor of New Orleans and her allies are trying to prevent you from creating your own city. Let that sink in.

That doesnt make any sense

Go back and look at the screenshot again. There’s no “former” in there.

Where are you getting these quotes from?

ETA: NVM. I see they’ve edited their post.

This right here. I don't know a single person that's going to vote no.

I went back and looked. StG edited their FB post to reflect his quotes.

The only thing I can figure is that this Amy Rodenburger person is ratting LaToya out.

It's been Nirvana since the statues came down, so Mitch did all of the heavy lifting for his successor. LaToya can now focus on turning Baton Rouge into the Eden that is New Orleans.

I got the original quote from the official St George Facebook Page

Mayor LaToya Cantrell Amy Rodenberger is no longer employed by the City of New Orleans as of July 2019 and is in no way being directed to make phone calls by myself or anyone in my office. We are focused on improving the quality of life for our own residents here in New Orleans and believe each city should be able to determine its own destiny. We would appreciate if you can update your post to include this statement. Thank you!
