It's all relative. Doesn't matter how much you lift, only matters how much it looks like you lift

Most i ever take is one or two reps at 90%. Never truly max

Why? Is it considered douchey?

Don't need to beat myself up / get hurt. Nor do i want to waste a day figuring it out.

I don't know how to deadlift

Put weight on the ground. Bend down and lift off the ground. Put weight back down.

Be sure to lift with a twisting, jerking motion while not using your legs.

This website has a good breakdown for lifting standards based on weight: LINK

According to that, I was ´elite´ through my late 30´s or so.

Much like someone else said earlier, I´m now in to maintaining and keeping healthy. I may get to roughly 90% or so of my maximum in some exercises....

My back is pretty féd up, therefore I now only squat on a machine. Today, did a pyramid and closed the 6th set at 4 reps @ 810 lbs. (legs were burning).

Joints are spent (and have always been small, therefore muscle insertion promotes a ´muscley´ than normal look), therefore I´d imagine my bench press is probably no better than 300-310 (with luck). I did 347 or so in my mid 30´s.

Age 52
Height 6´1 1/2
Weight 215

Your bench sucks, but the rest are good.

35, 5'10", 230

Bench 405
Squat 410
Deads 495

would like to get another 50lbs or so on the squat and deadlift but I'll likely never try to go up on bench. I swore 365 would be my max but then I got obsessed with the 405 number lol.

Yea, it doesn't really matter what you lift.

Is this like workout weight or max?

I haven't done a max rep since high school. If you can't lift for 6-8 reps then the exercise is pretty much worthless.

not trying to be a smartass but I don't understand this thought process. 3-5 reps of heavy weight is ideal for gaining strength. How is that considered worthless?

Ok "worthless" is too strong a word. Similar gains can be had with 6-8 reps and also the building of some degree of endurance. Anecdotally I see the potential for less injuries with a lower-weight, higher-rep workout.

I believe the optimum thing to do, is to mix it up.

I'm 5'9'', and strong for me would be benching in the 3's, squat in the 4s, and dead in the 5+s
