Bleach doesn kill mold. Bleach hides mold. The only thing you can do is dehumidifiers, and fans. Lot of air flow. Constantly use a moisture meter. Followed up with actual product made for mold.

I know this isn't exactly what you're asking for, but my dad got ahold of some industrial strength mold treatment after gutting the house after Katrina, it wasn't available at Home Depot/Lowe's. He's highly allergic to mold, so he wanted to over do it in treating the house. 5 gallons cost somewhere from $150-$200. It had ammonia or something like that as one of the ingredients. He treated everything with the liquid first, let it dry out and was able to also mix it in afterwards with thinned paint primer and apply, so studs and the like got a double dose. I'll ask him tomorrow what exactly it was and where he found it and update my post.
Update: Pops couldn't remember the name of the product, so that didn't help much. Also, the stuff he got ahold of came from a treatment-type company like ServPro who was working in the neighborhood. He said that they were so inundated with work orders that they'd just sell him the chemical, because they had so much work lined up already, they'd never get to him. I know it's not much info, but hopefully it can give some of you some ideas.

I don't want to give you a damn Ph.D. Lesson on this but the problem with bleach is that the active ingredients dissipate before the water leaving u with problem plus toxic as shite on your skin and respiratory system. Some guys in Louisiana created a product called sniper that works very well and also kills urine smell etc

Where are any of these better mold prevention products available locally?

Concrobium get mold killer and remover you need both these will only help removal is still best idea
This stuff is trash against South LA mold. I've sprayed it on wood to have it come back even worse 3 days later
The walmart brand stuff works better in my opinion but still not a great solution for wood. Bleach is fine on non porous surfaces but don't use it on drywall or studs
The right way to do it is to paint every surface with Zinsser mold killing primer and get all moisture out of the area

Whatever you use, please get some face masks that cover your mouth and nose and wear goggles, please!!!

Exactly same thing they recommended 30 years ago when we flooded in New Orleans.
Again, please wear protective equipment: Face mask and goggles when using these products. If you are spraying it, please turn off any fans that are running. A few minutes after spraying you can turn them on again. Keep any children away from areas you are spraying in. Thanks.

Whatever product you choose to use, please do a look up of the MSDS of the products ingredients for safety information. I hate to bug you guys with this, but I wouldn't want to see people with medical problems that are caused by chemicals you use to clean your home. Please be safe!!!
Adding: Pool bleach is many times stronger than regular bleach, beware!
