If it takes you a minute to pass a slow driver and you have people on your tail, you’re the ducking problem and are breaking the law.

And Nth bound 190 covington right lane close to claiborne hill, is a driveway to chase bank. I will signal and slow down to go to the bank. Sometimes a tatooed loser in a junker will go bananas and lay on the horn because he lost his momentum. If he does this i will come to a stop . This bottom of the barrel trash does not deserve to be In period, an area where hard working folks are at work, getting things done, obeying community mores.

If you ever drive on Highway 90, you know portions of it are relatively smooth in the left lane but miserably ridged in the right. I will drive in the left lane there as long as there is no one approaching me from behind. When I see a driver approaching in my rearview I switch right. Otherwise, I am in the right lane unless passing or moving over for people to merge at an interchange.

Thats your opinion not your job. You should recognize that the person is simply passing, and will soon be back right. Try it behind me and you will get an education

I hate driving through Louisiana with an absolute passion. It's either 100 mph in the left lane or 45 mph in the right lane. No in between. Makes travel exhausting.

Agree with this 100%.

I find it a bit funny how so many people seem to think that our traffic issues would just disappear if not for people “camping” in the left lane. I make a conscious effort to only use the left lane for passing, but even if I’m driving like 72 mph I’m still passing at least one car every minute unless there’s absolutely no traffic.

And that’s without getting into the fact that there is often simply not enough capacity in the right lane (or even the right 2 lanes, on 3-lane sections) for all of the traffic.

Don’t get me wrong - it’s a problem when people just post up in the left lane with cruise control on and never get over. But I don’t see that nearly as often as the OT likes to suggest. More often it’s just congestion and the left lane is constantly “passing” because it’s a line of cars moving 10+ mph faster than the right lane. And everyone is going the same speed as the car in front of them anyway.

It’s neither realistic nor reasonable to expect people to simply “get out of the way” in that scenario. In fact it’s incredibly easy to imagine how 100% strict adherence to the principle of “get over if anyone is behind you” actually makes traffic worse when roads are near capacity.

I understand what you're saying - I don't drive up anyone's arse unless they are clearly not moving when they have the both options of getting over or speeding up. However, you've probably caused other people to get in accidents 15 cars back doing this bullshite as well. So frick you too

There's a certain race that stays in the left lane going really slow, you may have seen them walking slow in large packs as well.

"A slow driver in the fast lane impedes traffic. This causes cars to drive closer together and increases the likelihood of tailgating, which in turn increases the likelihood of an accident. In essence, one driver going too slowly in the fast lane creates a domino effect that reduces the safety of everyone behind him."

"Driving slower than the surrounding traffic is more likely to cause an accident than speeding, according to research. Driving too slowly can make other drivers around you constantly brake and speed up."

EF Hutton making his big boy statement killing 16 year old girls behind him. We drive the same roads too you piece of shite. You're more of a problem than anyone.

I just wish people would use the 3 fricking lanes that they built for us from Highland to Prairieville. When you get to Highland headed towards AP, you won’t find a soul in the right lane. Everyone stacks up in the left and middle lanes for some stupid reason. It’s like there was no point in them expanding the interstate because 85% of people drive in the left and middle lanes, instead of the right lane. Slow drivers just need get in the right lane, not the middle. Idc if there are people trying to get on the interstate in the right lane. You chose to drive slow, you pay the consequences. Doesn’t mean you get to slow everyone else down because you don’t know how to drive.

And also all the assholes who use the middle lane at the Prairieville exit to jump ahead of everyone else waiting in the exit lane, need to be ticketed as well. Just so many clusterfricks that were supposed to be fixed but haven’t been because people don’t know how to use the interstate. If you’re getting off at the Prairieville exit, to go either north or south on 73, get your arse in that right lane when you see that sign that says Prairieville is in 2 miles. There’s no reason why everyone has to go 35 mph when driving through that stretch every single day. Can’t tell you how many times I see someone just at a complete stop in that middle lane, trying to get over to the Pville exit, but can’t because of all the people who are already in the exit lane. Then it backs everything up and everyone has to use the left lane just to move.

It’s your duty to drive at a safe speed and your duty to anticipate people turning, borrowing the lane for a minute to pass. LRS Title 32

You lose.

Left lanes should not have speed limits on the interstates.

If we lived among less morons, I'd agree but have you seen the morons with drivers licenses these days? It kind of works in Germany because they don't play with idiots on the roads.

Pull over everyone going more than 9 mph over the speed limit and you wouldn't have a problem. Or remotely disable their car.
