I used 1,272 kwhr last month and bill was $88.
From the daily emails of usage we are using between 45 and 55 kwhr per day. Had smart meters for about 8-9 years now.

The meter is likely a rolling number. It doesn’t reset every month. So last month it was probably 37,000-38,000.

Correct.
Same as your gas and water meter.
