Coach called it the "chase game". Put a player on each base and a player midway between each base. Blow the whistle and each runner tries to catch the guy in front of him. If the coach thought nobody was trying hard enough, the whole group ran a "rag". That was a half mile uphill and a half mile downhill. It was brutal.

Putting on a cheerleader outfit. Running around in circles with your head on the bottom of a bat. The running and trying to kick a ball.

I'll add: 100 yard bear crawls, 200 yard shuttles, and the Rebel leg test.

Also In middle school we had a big hill next to the practice field. Runnin hills sucked

I was the only one that used to beg to run sprints instead of laps around the field. I would rather just do 10 sprints and get it over with than run endless laps around the football field. And stadiums sucked too. Basically any extended/stamina building running exercise I couldn't stand.

I'm still like that to this day, I can do sprints 3-4 times a week but I hate running distance.
