This thread seems to be a mix of people responding who get the reference to the song and those who don’t (I certainly didn’t).
I responded literally even know I know the song.

Okay, I am an idiot. I thought the song was 45 miles.
Well take the map as if you are driving 60 MPH with no traffic and in a straight line.
We can get really technical and calculate 45 minutes of distance in latitude and longitude distance using degrees, minutes, and second values. Which would be a combination of values since distance using coordinates vary by location on the globe. For example along the 38th parallel:
One degree of latitude equals approximately 364,000 feet (69 miles), one minute equals 6,068 feet (1.15 miles), and one-second equals 101 feet.
One-degree of longitude equals 288,200 feet (54.6 miles), one minute equals 4,800 feet (0.91 mile), and one second equals 80 feet.
Averaging the 2 based on the SE trajectory and being closer to the equator we are probably real close to 45 miles.

The biggest mosquitos you have ever seen. Sound like helicopters flying around right before they suck all the blood out of you.

Jerry Reed is an underrated guitar aficionado. He was mentored by Chet Atkins..
“ The sessions kicked off with a rundown of Guitar Man - but it soon became apparent that there was no way they were going to get the Jerry Reed sound without Jerry Reed himself. Someone said they thought Reed had gone fishing, but nobody was sure how to get hold of him until Chet's assistant, Mary Lynch, was finally able to locate him on the phone, and he agreed to come in. When he arrived, he looked, said Felton, 'like a sure-enough Alabama wild man. You know, he hadn't shaved in about a week, and he had them old clogs on - that was just the way he dressed. He comes in and Elvis looked at him and said, 'Lord, have mercy, what is that!' There were no dress codes at Elvis' sessions, though; Reed just had to take a little kidding from a T-shirted Felton and a trim-looking Elvis, who was wearing a casual black suit and a bright shirt with the top buttons opened. [Funny when you think how people reacted to Elvis' dress code in the 50s' !!!!]”
