You would rather spend the time to find something to hold it when you have two perfectly good hands?

I rarely have the problem outside of Louisiana.

I think the tennis ball might be the ticket
The main reason I don't like to hold it is because I usually spend the time pumping gas to clean out my truck. I empty my little trash bag and throw out any bottles or crap my kids have left in the back seat

I'm not standing in cold or heat while I fill up. I get back in my truck with heater/ac

My hand, but I set it on fire immediately afterward for five whole seconds to kill the disgusting germs/bacteria that crawled onto it during those 15 gallons of pumping. I use a slushy as an extinguisher.

a roll of electrical tape , take a full roll and squeeze to collapse a little .... works perfect ....

I don't like holding because the guy before me... Well no telling where his hands have been just before grabbing the pump handle. Finger banging his chick or playing with his cock. No telling.
I keep hand sanitizer in my door nonetheless.

I used to use the gas cap itself...however, recently, I went to grab the handle and a large arc of static electricity popped from my finger to the handle. there is absolutely no reason that shouldn't have ignited and burned the shite out of me...
I will never let go of a pump handle again while filling a vehicle...

I keep a tennis ball in the console to hold the gas pump.

I roll up a couple of 100 dollar bills. It works great.

I keep a couple 20oz bottles of water in the back of my truck in case I need to wash my hands or something. They are usually half full and work great.

I think some stations break the damn things off on purpose
Sometimes they won't have any on any of their pumps
I'm not 100%, but I believe they have to be on there in order to pass inspection.
I too am amazed at how many pumps don't have em
