What do you think when someone doesn’t eat lunch?

When someone doesn’t eat lunch at a restaurant? My uncle is in town. He ate a few bites then set it aside. Waiter got it. No take out. We had blue plates. Just weird. Doesn’t make sense. Anyone been around this? Odd. He paid though.

That they value the company more than their actual appetite would require?

My usual guess is that they aren't hungry.

Maybe he had gas cramps and was launching SBD under the table.

Anyone remember the old Tau center ad in BR with the lady who opens the fridge to a whole cake after bedtime?

They binge at night when no one is awake.

Maybe he tasted it, didn't care for it, and didn't want it to be an issue since he was enjoying the company?

Good think it wasn't the Phi Kappa Tau Center. No telling what that poor woman would've had to eat.

We had one in my office a while back. Guy would only eat half his food if he ever went with us and would always insist the place he choose to go where we would eat was horrible that day.

It became a running joke each day how much he would eat of his plate and what he would complain about to justify it.

He was however super motivated to do daily task work.

I do that sometimes if I have planned breakfast or lunch and I'm just not hungry.

if it was a family member, I probably would have asked if they felt okay or if the food wasn't good

if it was a colleague or acquaintance, I'd be curious but not say anything
