Get one that is waterproof and no, water "resistant" doesn't cut it.
I guess you buy all vintage watches since watches can't read waterproof now. If you need water resistance and are buying a quality brand you just follow the WR rating of the watch.
God help us if this devolves into a "can I wash my hands with a 30m WR watch".

Which one did you get? I'm really curious to see what you think when you get it.
I ordered this one because it’s a cohesive look with the 16800 I wear daily and have decided it’s really not worth wearing when I travel or beat around outside.

Not sure it has one. It’s a custom build with mods parts and an NH35 movement. Picked it up from a watch builder who sells them on Etsy. Still haven’t gotten it yet but he had great reviews.

Had a really nice Bulova that I liked a lot until it got moisture under the crystal from just bathing and/or sweating.
Got a new Citizen and it is rated "waterproof", up to 30 meters.
Advice stands.
ETA; just checked and your right. Water Resistant up to 30 meters. I guess my point is, make sure it is rated for some moisture exposure.
carry on

Seikos are great values. I like Citizen, but I'm not a watch wearer.
Historically, Bulova was very important. Modern times, I think it has to be, for any amount of money, it's either Rolex, Tag Hauer or Omega. Anything else is a waste of money when everything with a battery or plug keeps perfect time.

You can get a Swiss made Hamilton for a few hundred dollars.
I wear Seiko and have never worn one out. I like automatic watches---no batteries, no winding.

Wore my Day Date to Publix this morning. Got a Ric Flair ‘Woooooooooooooo’ from the mentally challenged bag boy. Even retards can spot these watches.
