How's the beach there? Is it pretty nice? Can you recommend things to do?

You can't swim there
Sand is more coarse and not as white as Caribbean

If you've been there, you don't need a link

Undertow. There's no shelf there like in the gulf so it's way worse. Mendano beach is swim able if you want to find a resort there

As for things to do there are tons of great restaurants and bars in the area and then the thing cabo is popular for....fishing

My wife and I stayed there last summer. Current is extreme. So, swimming is out of the question. Rooms wreak of mold and musty smell. We changed several times and all were the same. A/C could not keep up with the heat. I wouldn't recommend staying there.

We stayed there on a Bachelor party, it was fine for that, I would prefer to stay in town with my wife. Food was no better than cruise food.

Agreed. And, I would look for somewhere with swimable beaches.

I wasn't really impressed.

ETA: I went in 09, so it may be different now.

The only swimable beaches in Cabo are at the public beach, just outside of the marina. One afternoon we decided to walk the beach back to the hotel. The steepness of the sand at the waterline and the courseness of the loose sand made for a really, really bad decision.

I just got back form Cabo a week ago and as others have said, you can't swim there. The waves are very impressive to look at, but you can only do that for a few minutes before you get bored (at least I did). My wife and some friends went to the swimmable beach for one day but they didn't really care for it. They prefer the beaches in Florida (gulf side) to those in Cabo but I am not a beach guy so it didn't really matter to me. We stayed at Pueblo Bonita Pacifica and it was really nice...no complaints at all.

Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to go fishing but I did talk to several who did and they all did very well. You can see them coming into the marina after a day of fishing and see the locals wheeling around the catch of the day using hand dollies. I did get to play a round at Quiviera and that was amazing. If you are into golf, I would highly recommend that course.

Go to Cabo. You'll have a good time.

View is nice
Food at resort is below average
Beach is very steep, like 30-40° incline and current is very strong and water usually pretty cold.
I'd try to stay closer to town.
Fishing is great though... caught marlin and roosterfish with 3 miles of marina
