I think it's a great idea and perplexed as to why it's taken so long for the light to come on for the NTSB. I say this as one who was arrested twice for DUI back in my younger and wilder days. But in the end, DUI laws are more about revenue generation than they are public safety so there will be some covert pushback by law enforcement.

This, and just start giving much much harsher penalties for DUI, including mandatory prison for 1st time offense.

What if you’re just riding trails or levees by yourself on your own land?

As long as you’re not violating game laws there’s no legal violation. Why should your vehicle prohibit you from that activity?

Not something I've given much thought to but would definitely tend to agree here.

On your own land, do whatever you want.
